Thunderous Voice and Movie Intimacy

June 8, 2010

Kittens, omy! The Kougaress hopes you are all safe and well. Late evening maows! A thunderous voice rolled over the tame prairie for the last six hours, or so. This Big Cat can’t recall such consistent thundery rumbles... well, ever. The lightning and the thunderstorm came and came... it dumped rain... and even when the rains ceased, the rumblie growls continued.

Before the Kougaress disconnected for the thunderstorm she read a wonderful blog featured at ROMANCE WRITERS BEHAVING BADLY~

Movies that make you go hmmmm….
by Taige Crenshaw

There are so many interesting movies being released this year. From the action packed, drama, animated, horror, and to the comedies there is something for everyone. ~
~~~
For moi this blog brought forth a realization that others probably already realize. Certainly, a whole lot of the moviemakers know this. Watching movies, films, is often an intimate experience. That is, it hits deep to that place in many of us humans that respond to intimacy... the intimacy of a sweet innocent hug from a child... the intimacy of being with friends and family, those who are beloved by you. And, of course, the intimacy of being with a lover, whether sex is involved or not.
No, it’s not just losing yourself in the movie, the story, the characters... it is literally an intimate act. The movie can hug itself around you, and involve your senses a unique kind of intimacy that isn't present in other media art and even, in books... that brings about that feeling of close connection.
Obviously, this power can be used for ill or for good. In the same manner TV can be used for evil purposes or good purposes. It’s like a hammer. The hammer can be involved in the intimate act of creating a house that will turn into a home. It can be used from a love intention. Or, it can be used to murder an innocent simply to steal from them.
Happy Courtship on another Earth
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 527 ~
Sylva knew she slept again, being in that lucid state where her mind hadn’t shut off, but her body had switched to sleep. Quickly, her awareness flew over a large body of water. “Blood on the water,” she spoke to herself. ‘I bleed to let the people know,’ a voice, a mother’s voice enveloped her. ‘Let the people know?’ Sylva asked. The horror of what occurred began to dawn on her. ‘Where am I?’ A gentle warmth surrounded her as if she was being hugged and held. ‘You are on your first Earth. You witness the evil plans of Man.’
Zeke couldn’t have explained it, yet he knew his Sylva roamed from him in her spirit body. At the same time, he ‘felt’ that she wasn’t in danger. Not yet. His father gave a nod. “It appears your bride’s abilities may be precisely what we need to further unravel all that is occurring. Those who study the weather trends, here at the center, noticed changes in the wind patterns that could not be caused by the natural forces of our planet. They worked with computer simulations and are now convinced the altered patterns were responsible for the silver sun phenomena.”
